Scope of Work:

Transition Planning, Conceptual Development, Exhibit Design, Exhibit Fabrication and Installation

 

MindSplash collaborated with the MUSE to open their first new gallery since opening. LIVE SMART: Be Well! holds exhibit experiences to help children and families discover how exercise, healthy eating, and regular wellness checkups keep our minds and bodies fit. Beginning with a donated exhibit secured from another museum, we reimagined the exhibit elements and added new experiences to focus on health and wellness, a priority for the MUSE.

MindSplash leveraged used exhibit components, redesigning existing and incorporating new elements, to create a cost-effective gallery that delights and educates visitors.

Visitors develop lifelong healthy habits in the three focus areas within the LIVE SMART gallery: THE BACKYARD (Play Smart) area includes a treehouse with slide and climbing wall, a backyard challenge spinner and crawl through Hexascope; EAT SMART focuses on healthy eating and farm to table, as visitors plant veggies, weigh and sell them in a farmers market and serve them up in the outdoor café; KIDS CLINIC (Be Well) with a check up medical station, dental station, XRays, MicroEye projection scope to learn about the body, and Eat and Move-O-Matic challenge.
